this might just be my last post.
you know, it just occured to me that one thing that i will miss most when im in korea is blogging.
its sad when a blog is stagnant...no tags...
and i want to leave behing something that readers will be able to look at for the one week.
but no-one likes Bjork except Kundan. isnt that sad.
oh well. 60% indie. mainstream people are rather boring.

BJORK IS NOT DEAD IN MY BLOG. hello pple since when i said Bjork week was OVER?!
this is a nice mainstream track, featured in some ice-skating movie (according to yazzie). very XD soothing. just listen to it while reading the rest of my boring day lah...
or not.
today was okay. i felt very weird the whole day. i think it's because,
1. i didnt have my FRENGERS album for the whole day.
2. everyone went out. except my friends.
3. i felt really uncomfortable and restless.
there was full day today. quite okay lah... i think i was totally dreading it in a sense. that meant i had nothing to do for the whole day and stayed in school quite alone while waiting for my dad to come and pick me up to go watch PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 3: AT WORLD'S END.
would just like to say thank you to Asyraf Willie and Yiwen (in alphabetical order) for hanging out with me for most of the afternoon. at least got some interesting people to talk to.
oh yes.
FUCK YOU HONEY-BAKED HAM FOR MAKING MY DAY VERY TERRIBLE.
there i said it =)

| You Are 60% Indie |
![]() You're pretty indie, but you don't make a fuss letting everyone know. You just do what you like. You enjoy many types of things - from trendy to bizarre. |
| Your Psyche is Green |
![]() You radiate love, empathy, and acceptance. You are able to relax almost everyone you meet. You are naturally comforting. Balanced and flexible, you only seem perfect! When you are too green: you are jealous, manipulative, and deceptive When you don't have enough green: you feel sluggish and out of sorts |
| Your Love Style is Eros |
![]() For you, love is all about the passion! And chances are, you're currently in love. You have a strong physical response to love... And you are great at committing (As long as the person makes your toes curl!) |
just received a phone call from my wonderful honey. bloody pissed. very frustrating to talk to her. keeps pushing the blame on me. jeez. the more i talk to her the more i feel like blowing up.
there will be nothing related to Bjork week in this post.

just felt like posting this.
this.
there you go.
Army of Me
Stand up
You've got to manage
I won't sympathize
Anymore.
And if you complain once more
You'll meet an army of me
And if you complain once more
You'll meet an army of me
You're alright
There's nothing wrong
Self-sufficience please!
And get to work.
You're on your own now
We won't save you
Your rescue-squad
Is too exhausted

hohoho.
Pagan Poetry - Bjork.
very interesting. my brother picked this song. it is from the album 'Vespertine', a world of microbeats and quieter, more complex rhythms. it has a very unsettling effect on listeners. this particular song was extremely controversial due to the nature of its video. there are also a few connotations in the song.
Your Psyche is Yellow |
![]() You have a ton of energy - both physical and mental endurance. You are rational and logical, and you can help almost anyone think clearly. Optimistic and bright, you also have a secret side that's a little darker. When you are too yellow: You will do anything to get your way, and no one will be the wiser When you don't have enough yellow: you lack confidence, drive, and humor |
| You Are an Emo Rocker! |
![]() Expressive and deep, lyrics are really your thing. That doesn't mean you don't rock out... You just rock out with meaning. For you, rock is more about connecting than grandstanding. |
| People Envy Your Compassion |
![]() You have a kind heart and an unusual empathy for all living creatures. You tend to absorb others' happiness and pain. People envy your compassion, and more importantly, the connections it helps you build. And compassionate as you are, you feel for them. |

ok its BJORK WEEK.
All is Full of Love by Bjork. self-love and other stuff related to love. for me, the REAL highlight is the surrounding atmosphere of the song. it is actually mostly made up of electronically enhanced and synthesized sounds from...MACHINES!
this is an irony in two ways. number one, sounds made by artificial objects are made even more artificial using more machines. this also shows the technological complexity of the song. number two, this is a song about LOVE. but machines are loveless. emotionless.

violins and girls.

i really like this pic. i want to wear what he's wearing for prom night.

more violins and girls.

this one really reminds me of the movie "cello".

i dunno what to think now. very frustrated. weird odd feeling. you know, i cant wait to go back to 7-11 on friday.

im so emo!! grr cant stand it. emo is depressing. XP really lor.
nothing much happened. felt very weird the whole day. maybe cuz of what i did in the morning. not my usual stuff. ugh.
the world is all about shameless self-promotion. i wonder why i said that anyway.
i shall now jot down my train of thought during one of those days. its fun penning down your thoughts you know. sometimes you go so fast you just lose yourself.
I try to hide.
I say that i hate myself
But that's really covering it up.
If i ask someone for help
I'm just being selfish
Cuz i'm not helping them
To help myself.
It's intuition that he's telling the truth.
If it's true then pity creeps through my heart.
And regret.
The head rests on the neck.
I want to really experience how the neck feels
When the heavy weight of the head is taken off.
Our mind is a great burden.
Don't waste your time on me you're already the voice inside my head.
I miss you?
Where is he coming from anyway?
I just wanna scream and lose control
Throw my hands up and let it go
Forget about everything and runaway
Yeah

today has been a frustrating but amazing day. it wouldnt be amazing if it werent for the frustration.
im sorry to those people whom i have slammed. in terms of their musical interest. i have discovered alot about rock music.
i was doing fucking maths. i was really pissed off by myself. then the world. maths is seriously torture. i broke down. i kept feeling terrible about my worthless existence and i how i havent accomplished ANYTHING this year. fuck.
i decided to play hoobastank while studying maths again. it helped ALOT. i dont know how to put this properly in words. i just felt normal again.
But i'm not ever going to know if i'm right or wrong
'cause we're all going in the same direction
And i'm not sure which way to go because all along
We've been going in the same direction
Where should I go?
What should I do?
I don't understand what you want from me

today has been very odd. i really need emotional support. times like this make me wonder how much i want. how much i need (?).
her.

me welcomes tori amos back after a hiatus of a few years. american doll posse is now my new craving.

she has always liked posing as other people. here are various shots of her in her "Strange Little Girls" album.

creepy. something that screams in blocked silence.

these pics remind me of how asyraf defended me during his private convo with someone else. thank you asyraf..
willie, if you want that kind of life, then you must be prepared to match his energy. thats why i prefer to stay behind. although sometimes its really hard.

my parents are arguing now.
its hard to concentrate.
dont make mistakes. the past will come back to haunt you.

we will never look like the unreal people who smile to us from posters and advertisement.
not even when we buy all the crap.
we are ugly. and hell, there are many of us.
so lets rape that beauty-ideal.
the world dont belong to the beautiful people.
.d
edit:
she just vented her anger on me.
now im not going for the bowling dinner.
cuz i didnt dry my hair.
im missing lots of bowling things.
SMILE AND BE HAPPY
i keep telling myself that.

i feel as if i cant say what i feel.
its hard to concentrate.

great day today.
willie kept cheering me up with spiderman. and he told me what happens during french class lol...youre really bad.
went to 7-11 during the three period break. had another enlightening talk. that there is a complex web of things happening behind the scenes during your high school life. it really struck me how difficult it was to maintain your status. i mean, relationships and image and stuff like that, almost like in american high schools except that this is behind closed doors. im really lucky to know you guys. i just hope i dont screw it up.
spiderman 3 was great. i love how the villians are personified through amazing graphics. venom rocks. more pics!
then asyraf and me was shopping quickly for someone's present. hmv is seriously amazing. i have never seen such a wide selection of genres to choose from. they even brought in within temptation and nightwish. im thinking of getting American Doll Posse by Tori Amos. and Volta by Bjork. but Tori sounds more interesting.
You look down on me
Don't you look down on me now
You don't know me at all
A slap in the face
In the face for you now
Just might do now

hmm i guess i should post something.
its really been a super boring day. i dont feel like going out and i dont feel like staying at home. and i have to do work but i dont feel like doing work. so odd. therefore school rocks (sometimes).
i shall type out my whole album review and summary for And the Glass Handed Kites by Mew.
Circuitry of the Wolf -- an instrumental introduction to the album. not really my taste, but an important track that sets the tone and mood of the album (or at least, the next few songs). can be somewhat repetitive and boring at times but nice for grunge rock fans.
Chinaberry Tree -- a simple classic Mew track in the album. one clear significant time signature change in the middle of the song, which also fits the mood of the lyrics. short and sweet.
Why Are You Looking Grave? -- one of my favourites in the album. the only other video besides 'Special' to be aired on mtv asia. the beat is unusually consistent in this song, and the lyrics of the song are particularly interesting.
Fox Cub -- not for me. the only part worth listening to is the end, where the beat acceleration marks the climatic start of the mix of 'Apocalypso', 'Special' and 'The Zookeeper's Boy'.
the following three tracks are the best mix of songs i have ever heard.
Apocalypso -- this track proves that Mew can not only do slow rock. though Jonas Bjerre's voice may seem a little overwhelming at the chorus, this track is definitely worth listening to.
Special -- the fantastic reason of why i bought the album. this song was my addiction for 1 year. it still is. the change of timing is just magnificent. it will send chills down your already shivering spine. i never get tired of listening to it, my definite favourite in the album. the video is also extremely surreal, check it out if you want to.
The Zookeeper's Boy -- showcases the soaring vocals of Jonas Bjerre. love it. may sound like a hardcore rock track until the scaling piano enters. lyrics are totally inane and crazy, like most other Mew songs.
A Dark Design -- interesting yet odd track. nothing much to say about it.
Saviours Of Jazz Ballet (Fear Me, December) -- short song whose lyrics evoke much imagery. i really wonder what they did that inspired this song.
An Envoy to the Open Fields -- old-fashioned yet wonderful song. the most number of timing changes, which i love. this track gets you to think how Mew manages to pull them off so smoothly. though not really for easy listening (as the track explores and repeats unique beats rapidly), it will definitely grow on you.
Small Ambulance -- boring filler track (instrumental).
The Seething Rain Weeps For You -- a totally un-emo song about goodbyes. has a very uplifting mood and tone even though its depressing. nice song to cheer up to after break-ups HAHA
White Lips Kissed -- dont really get what this track is saying. a Mew kind of emo-ness, judging from the atmosphere. sounds quite mainstream too.
Louise Louisa -- not bad for a 7 minute track. the first half of the song is way nicer than the second part. most of the song is instrumental, somewhat like Linkin Park's 'Session' but without the clever mixing of Mike Shinoda. i like how they play with the effect of Jonas' lone voice around the end of the track.
well there you go. im proud of myself managing to complete the review. =)
