today i had 1 on 1 sectionals with neng wei. i arrived there 20 minutes early...by accident. there was shane and sherman in the room, and the sec 3 sherman and jonathan were sitting at the back of the room. the sec 1 sherman was being taught by neng wei. i thought his voice was rather good today judging from his warm-ups. neng wei said that his voice was too dark and covered. sherman also noticed that he was breathing at obvious parts of the song. he wanted him to breathe at more unnoticable parts, or in the middle of a note. thats a good point to take note of.
after sherman it was my turn. during warmups my voice wasnt very good. it sounded too weird. neng wei could tell that i had a blocked nose lol. but then after a while, i was able to control my voice better. i think i sounded okay because neng wei asked me to sing credo. cool thing was that he told me i was the first one to sing it. lol ty neng wei. surprisingly, i didnt crack at the low notes. my voice wavered abit and he pointed it out lah. he only had three pointers for me take note of at the end, which were:
breathe deep.
raise eyebrows and cheekbones to prevent voice from becoming dark.
support.
in the afternoon i suddenly felt so tired. i seriously dunno why. had to go for 45 mins of tuition. then played a game of dota and my team was winning when the noob host kicked all of us. geez...fine...i really like using spiritbreaker, but not when there are naga sirens and phantom lancers kicking my refined butt around. he's a PINPOINT hero killer man! not some cheapo image flicker...
then at 6pm left the house for eastpoint. to have dinner and collect my phone at the same time. as i was sitting and waiting for my turn to come, i realized i didnt bring my warranty card! then my number buzzed on the counter and i went and spoke to the man...luckily he didnt mind and just read my receipt...after collecting the phone i started smsing like crazy again lol...
then went for dinner at this small turkish bar. had some kind of dish with really soft pieces of meat and vegetables. then passing popular (the book store, duh), this ang moh guy came out with a mike and introduced russel lee, bestselling author of singapore ghost stories, in the store for a short time signing books for the public. i went in and took a look at him...he was wearing a black mask.
... ... ...lol?
heard him asking a girl what school she was in...encouraged her to study...and wished her a very merry christmas. are horror book authors normally so friendly? whoa.
its three days to the malacca trip.
